Come and join the Trust and John Fitzgerald of FOG, as we take a walk down to our Scrape & Sow Site as part of Landcare's Festival of Nature.
The Scrape and Sow was established in May 2020 in partnership with Greening Australia to create Natural Temperate Grasslands and Pink-tailed Worm-lizard habitat in an area largely dominated by exotic annuals in the Ginninderry Conservation Corridor. We have recently extended this site so you will get to see the start of a site compared to a more established area.
We will take some time to learn about the project; what it is and why we are carrying out these works.
There will be activities for children, giving them the opportunity to learn about and explore the grassland.
Afternoon tea will be provided.
Details are as follows:
When: Saturday 19th October
Time: 1:30pm-3:30pm
Location: Meet at The Link, 1 McClymont Way, Strathnairn. We will then walk down to the site (approx. 20 mins one way). If you would like to join us but are unable to walk the distance, please let us know and we can provide transport to the site.
